James R. Adair, Jr., has served in churches and schools in Texas,
Georgia, and South Africa, and he has worked for Scholars Press and the
American Theological Library Association. He holds degrees from Trinity
University, Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, and the
University of Stellenbosch. He is currently an assistant professor at
Baptist University of the Américas. His primary research interest is
biblical textual criticism, and he is founder and editor of the online
journal TC: A Journal of Biblical Textual Criticism. He edits a blog
called Progressive Theology, and he is a member of the Society of
Biblical Literature, the American Schools of Oriental Research, the
International Organization for Septuagint and Cognate Studies, and the
American Association for the Advancement of Science.
